When I click the link, is there any way to get the link to direct to the discord website instead of the app?

Not really. Sometimes you might be able to bypass that in the web client by clicking on the "add server"/+ icon, click "Join a server" under the "have an invite already" text, then put the raw link ( https://discord.gg/FqwZURHGZ9 ) in there and see if it lets you join it that way.
